Mugdha works regularly with the Glenmark team to educate and empower our swimmers and coaches through psychological skill development and consultation to increase the probability of optimal performance outcomes. Our athletes are better prepared for podium success through the systematic self-regulation of constructive thinking, energy and emotion when they utilize the techniques taught by Mugdha. By acknowledging and developing their psychological processes, our swimmers are more resilient and better able to recover from performance slumps and manage training stress. Further, these processes help them develop life skills that will assist in managing the variety of stresses we all face on a daily basis.

When I had taken Shreyas to Mugdha he was a very talented cricketer with great skills. But, due to some reasons he was not able to perform to his potential. That’s when Mugdha came into the picture and I could see changes for the best. I feel mental training is the most important aspect for a person’s success. All the other training is incomplete without mental training.

She is a mentor , an advisor a best friend and more then that she is a beautiful human with a loving heart. In sports your mind set is equally important as your training, you have to be mentally strong in any race and Mugdha has supported my daughter Palak Dhami in all aspects of life beyond swimming by making her confident in whatever she is doing in Life.

Working with Mugdha helped me to understand what it means to be mentally tough enough to perform at my best all the time. Before I started my sessions I was very nervous about my swimming. Mugdha in all these years taught me to be strong, tough and fearless. Now I am more confident and I believe she will be help me like this throughout my life.

I have known counselling psychologist Mugdha Bavare for a long time. Having spent half a century in sport journalism and administration I observed that the pressure to perform from coaches and parents have affected talented teenagers considerably more so after IPL was launched in 2008.
While mentoring some players who were playing for their states I noticed there were cases of players cracking under pressure. I referred such players to Mugdha who not only diagnosed the psychological problems but made them more effective. Their behaviour too changed.
For a sports person to perform consistently at the highest level he or she has to be guided by a counselling psychologist and I am happy to say Mugdha did it so well that some of them are oozing with confidence.
WELL DONE, MUGDHA. KEEP IT GOING

It has said and maintained by many of the top class Cricketers in the world that this game has been played above the shoulder (mentally) more than physically with 80 / 20 % and some says 70 / 30 %. it clearly indicates that performance base on his mental approach even though he has Talent.and ability. One can not deny his technical & Physical Preparation to survive in this game. But along with these, another very important aspect to bring out the best in the player is definitely the mental toughness.
many Cricketers inspite of their Talent & Skills finds mentally weak due to various reasons, it includes fear of failure, Selectors / Coach / family / friends pressure, getting diverted to unwanted issues or over focus to perform in the situation, probably finds difficult to handle pressure situation.
I sincerely believe that we need more and more sports psychologists to help the cricketers to reach the next level by improving their mental approach to become more tougher.
I am convinced that apart from their game, we need support from some of the good psychologist for many of the cricketers to enhance their performances while playing this game.
I really appreciate the work done by Mrs. Mugdha Bavare at Mumbai Cricket Association during my tenure as a Director of the Academy, for the various age groups cricketers, which has helped them to raise their bar as far as performance and characters are concerned. I wish her all the support for the same.

I’ve known Mugdha for almost 3 years now and what a difference it’s made to my game. Mugdha has always been a calming voice for all my problem be it on court, as well as off court. When I decided to work with Mugdha, I never really believed in having a mental trainer on board my team. It was something I was always against. I felt ‘if I couldn’t control my mind and thoughts no could help me with it ‘! I was advised by most of my team that I needed one, and I finally gave in and it has been the best decision ever. Over the years I’ve realised what a big part mental training plays in ones development in any field. Mugdha always has an answer to all my problems, which makes life easier to get on court and just enjoy your game and to play it to the best of your abilities. Mugdha has been an eye opener to my career and without doubt doubt will bring in the best to whoever she works with.

Kiran ma’am & Rasika ma’am are very approachable and always help us by understanding our issues and trying to address those. In all matches, I use mental tools like breathing, self talk and visualisation to calm myself down and it helped me to give my best in pressure situations. Like in one of my matches, there was some issue with my weapon but using all the mental tools, I could keep myself calm and pushed my limits to give my best.

Rasika ma’am and Kiran ma’am have helped me improve a lot in my sport. They’ve provided information about the mental tools and the mental aspects and how the mental tools help us in shooting. They both are very supportive and helpful. I’ve improved a lot in shooting and this was possible only because of their support. During my selection for Trial 1, I was very nervous because of the score of the first series. I tried using the mental tools which helped me a lot and I could do better in the next series.

Rasika Ma’am made me understand my own challenges and gave me easy solutions which I am trying and will keep using her teachings. I was not scared of her & I never felt not visiting her. While playing, when the opponent used to lead I couldn’t hold my tears and literally started crying really bad. When I started Mental training it still happened but I could manage controlling. I used to follow tips shared by her before my match

As parents of Rusham, we have seen a significant improvement in his focus, mental balance, and ability to handle nervousness — especially during matches. Rasika has played a key role in this progress. Through her calm and thoughtful approach, she was able to build a healthy, trusting rapport with Rusham. Their discussions were not just supportive but also strategic — helping him reflect, understand his emotions, and develop practical techniques to manage his impatience. We’re truly grateful for the positive change we’ve witnessed in him, both in his game and overall mindset. Rasika’s guidance has made a meaningful impact, and we appreciate the care and dedication she brings to every session.
